OUR COMMITMENT
TO PRAGMATISM AND HUMILITY.

Through the properties that make up our collection today, we strive to define a vision of luxury hospitality that is more sensitive, authentic and more sustainable.
SInce the very beginning of Iconic House, our teams and we have been deeply committed to building a model that minimises our environmental impact. This commitment is rooted in sincere conviction and responds to the growing concerns of our guests.
Based on this vision, our actions and commitments are guided by three principles.
Thibaud Elzière & Robin Michel.

SUPPORT

best practices

Reduce water and energy consumption

Aware of the impact of water and energy consumption, we offer our guests a “LOW” configuration in each of our homes, to keep consumption to a minimum.

Optimize transport

We make our guests aware of the impact of their travel, for example by encouraging them to take the train and making electric cars available during their stays.

Reduce plastic use and recycle waste

Customers and teams alike are encouraged to behave more sustainably: responsible purchasing, intelligent waste management, reduced use of non-recyclable plastic, elimination of single-use plastic...

EXPAND

with reason

Renovate rather than build

Driven by a love of stone, the charm of the old and a concern to limit our impact, we focus our development and research on renovation projects rather than construction.

Committed to preserving our heritage

Working with local architects, taking existing buildings into account, researching archives... our renovations are driven by a deep respect for French history, heritage and regional planning.

Limit the impact of design

In collaboration with our architects, our projects are guided by the fundamentals of sustainable architecture (insulation, heat pumps, materials, etc.).

COMMITTED TO HERITAGE

The renovation of Les Bords du Lac, our property based in Hossegor in the Landes region, embodies our commitment to safeguarding France's architectural heritage. Working closely with the Architectes des Bâtiments de France and interior designer Dorothée Delaye, we have restored to its former glory this historic Basque-Landes property on Hossegor Lake, built in the 1930s by iconic architect Louis Lagrange.

ACT

locally

Support local life and the local economy

Recruitment, partnerships, sponsorship, mobility... Working closely with town councils, the local economic ecosystem and associations, we strive to participate in the life of the communities and regions in which we operate through our Maisons hôtelières.

Favor short circuits

Collaboration with local craftsmen, proximity of our Chefs to theregion's producers... the regional dynamic is highly appreciated inour properties.

Promote and enhance our regions

ICONS, our collection of self-published guides, aims to reveal thesoul of our regions. It highlights the best addresses and treasures of each of our destinations (gastronomy, commerce, arts and crafts, culture, nature...).
