about

Once home to a 1920s operetta writer, Villa Junot reinterprets the spirit of Montmartre's great family houses: warm, welcoming and deeply connected to Arts.

A true Art Deco villa, it combines wrought ironwork, stained glass, mosaics and noble materials within an intimate and convivial atmosphere. Much like Montmartre itself, the House invites a gentler, more romantic experience of Paris, shaped by hidden gardens, artistic elegance and a slower pace of life.

Montmartre tells the story of a Paris that is lived, rather than observed.

destination

Montmartre, another Paris

Perched atop the Butte, Montmartre has long cultivated an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Paris. Away from the bustle of the city centre, the neighbourhood weaves together cobbled streets, hidden gardens and museums, artists' studios, historic cafés and elegant houses concealed behind lush greenery. A more intimate and romantic Paris, where art and culture still naturally shape everyday life.

With its galleries, local markets and lively terraces, Montmartre reveals a quieter, more preserved way of life, almost village-like in spirit. Another vision of Paris, more convivial, more family-oriented and more inspiring, far removed from the pace of the grands boulevards.

Design & art

An Art Deco and Surrealist retreat

Conceived as a tribute to the artistic Montmartre of the 1920s, the interiors draw on the worlds of Surrealism and the decorative arts through a carefully curated selection of artworks, dreamlike details and unexpected artistic gestures. A free-spirited, theatrical and deeply aesthetic atmosphere inspired by the artists who shaped the mythology of the Butte.

Interior Design : Josephine Fossey

Art Curation : Joséphine Fossey

Founded by Laure Gravier and Soizic Fougeront, Claves develops a refined and deeply considered approach to interior architecture. Drawing on the richness of the French decorative arts, the duo creates elegant, lived-in spaces where patterns, ornament, craftsmanship and artistic references engage in dialogue with both the history of a place and those who inhabit it.

A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon and Amsterdam's Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Galatée Martin develops an instinctive figurative practice informed by art history, textiles and fashion. For Villa Junot, she created two dreamlike murals inspired by Éloi de la Plume, a fictional operetta singer imagined especially for the House.

Artist, architect and designer based in Paris, Garance Vallée develops a practice at the intersection of art, design and architecture. For Villa Junot, she conceived a trompe-l'œil mural imagined as an extension of the room itself, blending a surrealist library, sculptural niches and a dreamlike cabinet of curiosities.
